ABBEY TAYLOR AWARDED BASIL SELLERS SCHOLARSHIP
Congratulations to Abbey Taylor (pictured left) for receiving her second Basil Sellers Scholarship.
Abbey has had another outstanding year of cricket representing ACT/NSW Country at the Under 18 Nationals and is also a member of the NSW Transition Squad. Well done Abbey!
The Basil Sellers Scholarship program supports scholars and their families with expenses such as education, travel and the cost of relocation from regional areas.
Mr Sellers emphasised the importance of scholars balancing cricket and education in his speech to the inductees, parents, cricket officials and guests and also stressed to the scholars the importance of playing within the Spirit of Cricket.

Arthur was a great wit, and below is one of his classics lines:
"It was rather a pity Ellis got run out at 1107, because I was just striking a length" - Arthur Mailey, who took 4-362 during Victoria's record score.
