Club Overview
Club Objectives
"We are all about promoting the right way to play the game, displaying the ND's fighting spirit and encouraging community involvement. We are about building strong relations with all our stakeholders... local junior cricket associations and schools, our sponsors, all our members (past and present) and all the friends and family of the Northern District Cricket Club.
Our goals are simple: To provide specialist coaching, good facilities, fair selection policies and an enjoyable environment to ensure that every player has the opportunity to reach their potential, perform at that level and achieve higher honours."
Northern District Cricket Club (NDCC) has an outstanding reputation and history going back to the 1925/26 season and has a long history of providing a supportive development pathway for junior players through to grade cricket ... and beyond. The scenic Mark Taylor Oval (formerly Waitara Oval) has been the home ground of since the club's establishment in 1925. The Club Logo is that of a mighty blue gum tree that stood for many decades immediately beside the ground and all NDCC teams proudly wear the 'tag' of ND's.
The success of the Club in developing many players to play and succeed at the highest level of the game has produced an Australian Captain in Mark Taylor and a Chief Executive of Australian Cricket in the late Tim Caldwell. Former Australian team manager: Steve Bernard, also played with the club and other recent test players include Peter Taylor, Adam Gilchrist, Brad Haddin and Nathan Lyon.
NDCC is recognized historically as one of the Sydney Cricket Association's (SCA) leading Grade Cricket Clubs where talented players (local and country, male and female) gain the opportunity to play cricket at a very high level against the most talented players and clubs in the SCA. Close ties with the Hornsby Shire Council have seen facilities developed to first class standards, with both Mark Taylor (formerly Waitara) and Asquith Ovals consistently amongst the highest rating grounds
Club Values
HONESTY
We are committed to being open and honest with our teammates and other Club members.
RESPECT
We treat others with respect and good will.
LEADERSHIP
We are leaders – on the field, in our local cricket community, in Sydney Grade cricket and in our contributions to NSW and Australian cricket.
EXCELLENCE
We believe in the potential of our players and are committed to providing an environment that attracts, motivates and recognizes excellence.
We take pride in everything we do, doing each job right and continuously improving how we play the game.
TEAMWORK
We believe that we will succeed as individuals because we succeed as a team. Every individual makes important contributions, but we are nowhere near as powerful as individuals as we are as a team working together.
We will meet our commitments to our team members and other stakeholders in the Club.
We will celebrate our successes giving recognition where it's due and recognise where we need to improve and work together for solutions.
INTEGRITY
Above all, we are committed to integrity in all that we do, always, everywhere.

• Following the spirit and letter of the laws of cricket
• Doing what we say, we'll do
